Temperature soars in Bangalore

By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE MAY 29. With pre-monsoon showers nowhere in sight and the heatwave conditions prevailing over many parts of interior Karnataka, Bangalore's temperature has been soaring this summer. The scorching heat touched a high of 37.6 degrees Celsius on May 26.

Sources in the Meteorological Department have forecast that the weather in Bangalore would remain between 36 degrees Celsius and 37 degrees Celsius over the next two days.

Many parts of Bidar, Bijapur, Gulbarga, Raichur, and Bellary are reeling under the heatwave.

On Wednesday, the mercury dipped slightly and came down to 36.7 degrees Celsius. But this brought no respite for the people bogged down by power and water shortages.
