By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE May 30. Airtel Value 599 plan subscribers can now make mobile-to-mobile STD calls at a cost of 50 paise per minute. This service will, however, be available only for 100 minutes on a monthly payment of Rs.50 by the subscribers.

The mobile service provider has also introduced an SMS package at a monthly charge of Rs.49, which allows subscribers 80 free SMS. For subscribers not interested in this package, the cost of SMS has been revised to Re.1 per message.

While this rate will apply for local and national SMS, international SMS will be charged at a flat rate of Rs.3 per message.

Pre-paid subscribers can pay a flat rate of Rs.2.40 per minute for an outgoing call irrespective of the network.

Subscribers of the prepaid Spice Simple can switch to a new tariff where mobile-to-mobile calls are charged Rs.2.30 a minute and Rs.2.70 to other networks.
