THIRUVANANTHAPURAM May 30. The State Government plans to effect a `marginal increase' in the tuition fee for various degree and post graduate courses in various universities, the Education Minister, Nalakath Soopy, has said.

Addressing a press conference here today, Mr. Soopy said the exact amount of increase in the fee would be decided by the Cabinet at its meeting scheduled on June 4.

According to Government sources, the proposal for tuition fee hike that will be placed before the Cabinet suggests a hike of 10 to 25 per cent for various courses.
