Savita Ambedkar mourned

Pondicherry May 30. The former Rajya Sabha member and president of the National Integrated Dalit Forum, V.P.M. Samy, today expressed grief over the death of Savita Ambedkar, wife of B.R. Ambedkar.

In a message, Mr. Samy said Savita Ambedkar was a dedicated leader and a sincere social worker, who worked hard for the uplift of Dalits.

The Pondicherry State SC Government Employees Welfare Association adopted a condolence resolution at an emergency meeting of the association.

V. Ramalingam, president and N. Nagalingam Perian, general secretary, recalled the services rendered by Savita Ambedkar to Dalits.
