Chand quits

KATHMANDU May 30. Nepal's eight-month caretaker Prime Minister, Lokendra Bahadur Chand, has resigned, the state television said. Mr. Chand's resignation came after pressure from political parties which have been demanding that King Gyanendra dismiss him. — Reuters
