Out of the 7,619 candidates who appeared for the exams, 5,171 came out successful. M. Thilagam of the Corporation Girls' Higher Secondary School, Madhavaram High Road, topped the list among Corporation school students, securing 481 marks. She was followed by R. Shivakumar of Maduvankarai Higher Secondary school (479 marks) and S. Sridevi of the Madhavaram High Road Girls' School (478 marks). Three schools recorded cent per cent pass and eight others between 90 and 99 per cent pass, an official release said.
