Jammu & Kashmir
By Luv Puri
A jawan with camouflaged ammunition recovered during Mission Sarp Vinash at Nagrota, near Jammu, on Saturday.
The Army today said militants were sending parcels containing consumer goods with IEDs hidden in them to Army officials by post.
Recently, an IED hidden in a coconut shell was posted to the Signals unit at the Northern Command in Udhampur. However, it was delivered at some other place.
Militants hid an IED in a container of ghee during the Amarnath pilgrimage last year.
As the militant carrying the container noticed frisking going on, he abandoned the container and escaped.
