Start govt. medical college: AIADMK

By Our Staff Reporter

Pondicherry May 31. The Pondicherry AIADMK secretary and MLA, A. Anbalagan, today urged the Rangasamy Government to start a medical college here.

Addressing newsmen here today he said already a move was made some 12 years ago by the then Government to get the nod of the Medical Council for a State Government-run medical college. But no follow up action had been taken since then. He alleged that the Congress Government here was pampering private players to start colleges.

He demanded a ban on sale of beer through pubs, as the facility, he feared, would take the youth on a wrong path.
