Letters to the Editor
Sir, This has reference to the recent decision of the Narmada Control Authority to raise the height of the Sardar Sarovar Dam from 95 to 100 metres. The additional height will bring disaster to the 12,000 families who will be uprooted as a result of it. When already those displaced have not received proper rehabilitation, the NCA's decision does not make any sense. The Government should first provide proper facilities to these homeless people and then execute its plan of raising the height of the dam.
