Medha Patkar hospitalised

NASHIK JUNE 4. The Narmada Bachao Andolan leader, Medha Patkar, was admitted to a civil hospital here following deterioration in her health today, the sixth day of her indefinite hunger strike to demand rehabilitation of the Narmada project affected.

According to police sources, Ms. Patkar was forcibly shifted to the hospital after the Nashik divisional revenue commissioner and the district civil surgeon took stock of her condition.
