With claims by various coaching centres of the question paper containing several errors, the ICET organisers have accelerated the process (of getting a key released) to minimise the damage. Prominent among the fingers pointed out were those of the Hyderabad-based Triumphant Institute of Management Education (TIME), which had recently issued a press statement that as many as ten errors had crept into the papers, with five questions having no correct answer, four having more than one correct answer and one having no exact answer. Sources told The Hindu that the varsity had been in receipt of several complaints on errors appearing in the test paper from candidates who had taken the test. While some from the nearby districts have been making personal visits, many anxious candidates from far-off places are in contact with the ICET office over telephone, as their prospects of bagging a seat in a professional course hangs in balance. When contacted, the ICET convenor, D. Chengal Raju, who initially declined to comment on the issue before the release of the key, admitted that the claims could be `partially true'. "While there could be errors, the number might not be Ten as claimed by some institutions'', he said. He also said that if the questions were found erroneous, marks awarding pattern could be suitably amended to benefit the candidates who had attempted the questions.
