Returning a third successive card of par 70, Jaskirat stole ahead from leader of the past two days Aditya Singh by one stroke. The contest for the title reached interesting proportions with Ajeetesh Sandhu also throwing his hat into the ring carding par for the day and being three strokes behind leader Jaskirat. At the start of the third day, Aditya Singh began on a high note with a birdie on the first hole. Jaskirat's start with a bogey was disappointing, but from the third hole onwards Jaskirat began to close in on Aditya. On the eighth hole, Jaskirat managed to take a one stroke lead as Aditya bogeyed. By the 12th hole, Jaskirat had gone two strokes ahead, and the 13th saw him lead by three. It was here that Aditya realised that he had to come up with some damage control measures, and a birdie on the 14th lessened the deficit. Jaskirat's shocking bogey on the 16th where he missed a sitter was good news for Aditya as the final day's contest headed for a nerve-wracking one. Playing with precision, Ajeetesh Sandhu adrift by four on the second day had one birdie (third) and one bogey (12th) to end up quite satisfied. With his confidence running high thanks to wins in the last three tournaments, Ajeetesh could spring a surprise on the final day. A title in Group B looks a certainty with a 18 stroke lead over Amanjyot Singh from Jaipur. In category C, Rahul Bakshi played a brilliant seven over 77 to establish a sizeable lead over joint leader on the second day, Madhav Soi. Madhav was off colour and returned with a 15 over 85 to fall eight strokes behind Rahul Bakshi. Kanishk Madan was one behind Madhav with a total of 251. Rommel Majumdar played one below his handicap to finish with an impressive six over 76 on the second day for the under-10 year olds. Rommel had six bogeys on the longer holes with yardages of 300 and above, but his consistent play on the other holes where he scored par helped him get a 11 stroke advantage over Viraat Badhwar. The Kolkata sub-junior looks well set to pick up his second title in the city. The results: A Category (after three rounds): 1. Jaskirat Singh Dullet (70,70,70) 210, 2. Aditya Singh (66,73,72) 211, 3. Ajeetesh Sandhu (71,72,70) 213, 4. Karan Talwar (76,73,71) 220, 5. Karan Vasudeva (73,76,74) 223, 5. Gaganjeet Bhullar (71,79,79) 229.
