It was the lone match to yield a result as the other two matches held in grounds located in the City outskirts were called off due to heavy overnight rains without a ball being bowled on the second and final day. South Zone and Combined Zonal Academies XI gained a point each from their washed out match at the WAP Ground and a similar fate undermined the North Zone and East Zone teams at the Jain International Residential School Ground. However, at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Central Zone only had the West Zone total of 255 to contend with in a chase that hinged on the efforts of Sachin Dholpure (70) and southpaw Shivakanth Shukla (60). The duo's efforts however, proved inadequate as West emerged the winner and wrested two points. Sachin failed to beat B. Chavan's throw from covers and with his run out, Central was left stranded. Central mustered 226 in 80.3 overs. West's seamer Gautam Yadav (four for 69) and off-spinner Yusuf Pathan (three for 51) shared the spoils. The scores: West Zone 255 in 84.3 overs bt Central Zone 226 in 80.3 overs (Sachin Dholpure 70, Ravikanth Shukla 60, Gautam Yadav four for 69, Yusuf Pathan three for 51). South Zone 335 in 97.2 overs drew with Combined Zonal Academies XI. Match called off due to overnight rains. North Zone 285 for nine in 100 overs (Gaurav Gupta 110, Vishwas Bhalla 39, Sunny 32, Vikram Dhariwal 27, Sourav Shakar five for 41) drew with East Zone. Match called off due to overnight rains.
