Arrest warrants against Yasin Malik

JAMMU JUNE 6. The Presiding Officer of the POTA Court, Jammu, P.N. Razdan, has issued arrest warrants against the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front leader, Mohammed Yasin Malik, for securing his presence in the $1 lakh case in which Mr. Malik is facing trial. Mr. Razdan rejected Mr. Malik's application requesting exemption from personal appearance in court citing poor health.

Shamima alias Shazia and Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, two other accused in the case, appeared in the court.

However, due to Mr. Malik's absence, no effective proceedings could take place.
