The Foreign Minister said restoration of air links with India would be part of confidence-building measures taken by the Pakistan Prime Minister, Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali, the Pakistan daily The News reported today. The announcement follows the decision to resume bus and train services between the two countries. The Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, had expressed willingness to re-establish air links with Pakistan in May when he offered an olive branch, saying that India would restore full diplomatic relations with it. India had snapped air, rail and road links with Pakistan following the December 13, 2001 attack on its Parliament.
