A sham

Sir, — This refers to your Editorial Handshake in the desert (June 7).

You are well aware that the offer by Ariel Sharon's predecessors was nothing but a sham and was exactly the same as that now being offered, propped up by even more force with the axis of power wielded by George W. Bush, Tony Blair, Mr. Sharon and also now by the BJP.
