Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, the TRTU leaders - K. Satyanarayana Reddy, D. Srinivasa Reddy and M. Manipal Reddy -- described the decision as a bad precedent. Earlier, the Government exempted only president and secretary of the unions from transfers. Recently, it issued orders extending the facility to other office-bearers too. Following the decision, the unions were including more members on the body only to take advantage of the new order. Hence, the Government should withdraw its decision and continue with the earlier policy. The TRTU leaders appealed to the members to make success the agitational programme being taken up by the TRS demanding implementation of G.O. 610 in Assembly Constituencies.
