This Day That Age
From the Editorials: Forest area for the whole of India is diminishing rapidly. Vast areas, once covered with trees and inhabited by wild animals, have been burned and destroyed to create farms. In some parts of the country, land has turned into desert as in the Middle East, and reclamation measures have had to be launched by planting wind-breaks large numbers of trees which will break the force of winds that carry off the soil. This kind of work, going on in Russia, China, Israel and other countries, must be done well in time here too.
