BHEL to adopt e-procurement methods

BANGALORE: Bharat Heavy Electricals will resort to e-procurement methods to ensure greater transparency and price competitiveness. This was the focus of the two day meet of chiefs of material management of BHEL which commenced in Bangalore on June 9 with the firm considering adoption of new IT applications such as e-procurement processes including reverse auctioning. The company has already launched vendor information system on its web pages to ensure vendor interaction with BHEL.
