By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD June 9. The Andhra Pradesh police have won laurels from the Union Government for their excellent work, which helped in the arrest of the accused in the sensational murder case of Haren Pandya, former Home Minister of Gujarat.

Describing the job accomplished by the Andhra Pradesh police as "unparalleled in the country,'' the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) commended the "high sense of dedication and alacrity'' of the A.P. police.

The DGP, P. Ramulu, on Monday said that the CBI had sent a letter praising the services rendered by the AP police team including the Additional DGP, Shivashankar, Mahendra Reddy, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, B. Srinivasulu, SP, and Raghurama Rao, ASP of Counter Intelligence, and Shikha Goel, SP of Medak. Mr. Ramulu said that the CBI Director, P.C. Sharma, specifically appreciated the work of A. Sivaramakrishna, Inspector of Uppal police station under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.
