Addressing a press conference here on Monday, she said the gearless scooter market had been growing, while the market for traditional geared models was shrinking. She preferred to hold back details of the executive motorcycle other than saying it would be in the `premium segment'. As against last year's sale of 2.4 lakh two-wheelers of all models put together, the company is targeting a sale of 3.75 lakhs two wheelers this year. Of this the biggest segment could be the scooterette with 1.6 lakh target, followed by 1.4 lakh motorcycles and 60,000 mopeds. The company already has a 30 per cent market share in scooterettes and is going full steam ahead with a Rs. 3.50 crore promotional campaign `Zing with me' with Karishma Kapoor and Mahima Chowdry during June-August peak season to target sales of the Kinetic Zing and Kinetic Zing Rockin' models. In the last eight months since the launch of Zing, it sold 45,000 vehicles and hoped to sell another 35,000 of new varient, she said. On the talk of Kapil Dev wanting to take a stake in Kinetic, she said he continued to be the company's brand ambassador and there were no financial dealings.
