Fiat implements eSira

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI JUNE 9. Fiat India has implemented eSIRA (electronic Systemi Informati Ricambi Afflizoni), an online order management system for spare parts across its dealer network in this country.

eSIRA enables Fiat dealers to place orders for spare parts, check parts availability and credit limits and also track the status of their orders in realtime.

A company release says the software for eSIRA has been developed by Global Value Solutions — an IBM and Fiat company and been implemented by Fiat in other countries as well.

According to Fiat India Commercial Director, A. M. Gupta, this new system equips Fiat's dealers with immediate knowledge of whether the material they have ordered is available and the order has been accepted, resulting in improving the supply chain management for spare parts.
