Mayawati's appeal to NRIs

Lucknow June 9. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mayawati, has urged the NRIs to contribute towards the development and progress of India and of Uttar Pradesh in particular.

During the final leg of her foreign tour, Ms. Mayawati arrived in Paris today from Switzerland.

Earlier, at a programme organised by the Indian Embassy in Berne, she underlined the role of NRIs in creating a constructive and an investor-friendly image of U.P., so that more and more investors could be attracted to the State, according to an official statement issued here today. She said the Indian Embassy officers should encourage the investors to invest in U.P. — UNI
