Jammu & Kashmir
By Our Staff Reporter
Mr.Vohra, who is on his third visit to the State, told reporters that nobody was given a formal invitation and any group was welcome to speak to him and give its viewpoint. "I would hear them with an open mind," he said. Asked whether he would invite the All-Party Hurriyat Conference he said: "I have emphasised time and again my accessibility to everyone in the State." Today, Mr. Vohra met some prominent experts of the State, including representatives of the Jammu State Morcha, a group which has forcefully called for the trifurcation of the State, criticising the "unnatural wedlock" among the three regions of the State. The former Regional Autonomy Committee chairman, Balraj Puri, was invited by Mr.Vohra for talks later in the day. A number of Sikh delegations asked for due representation to the community in the legislature when they met him. A few Dalit groups also called on Mr.Vohra.
