Sonia is our HM, says Shinde

Mumbai June 9. The Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, is like a ``headmaster and howsoever powerful a Chief Minister is, he has to study a lot,'' the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Sushilkumar Shinde, said here today.

``Soniaji is like a headmaster... and she took to task all the 14 Congress Chief Ministers at the recent CMs conclave,'' Mr. Shinde told a gathering of Mumbai Congress activists here. She questioned the Chief Ministers about their progress in various sectors such as information technology, agriculture, education and other areas, he said. On the reservation for the economically poor among the forward castes, Mr. Shinde said he was heading a coalition Government and could not take a unilateral decision in this regard. — PTI
