Ready to face any inquiry: George

By Our Staff Reporter

PATHANAMTHITTA June 10. The dissident Kerala Congress(J) leader, P.C. George, MLA, has said that he is ready to face any sort of inquiry into the allegations of irregularities and corruption charges against the party in connection with the Plus Two allocation and the Public Works Department (PWD) works in different parts of the State during the previous LDF rule. Mr George was talking to mediapersons at the Pathanamthitta Press Club today.

Mr. George said he had sought a Vigilance inquiry into the alleged irregularities and corruption charges against the Kerala Congress(J) leaders in connection with various PWD projects and the Plus Two allocation even in the Assembly, but for no avail. He said he had never raised any corruption charge against the former Minister for Public Works and Education, P.J. Joseph, and all reports in this regard were baseless. However, he added that a three-member party committee was studying the corruption charges against certain party leaders on the basis of a complaint by a party executive member, James Illickan. He said he would open his mind on the issue only after studying the report of the internal inquiry panel.
