Amadeus' e-ticketing

HYDERABAD: Amadeus, a leading global distribution system (GDS) and travel industry technology provider, has initiated month long pilot `e-ticketing' in June (by Lufthansa and British Airways which have e-ticketing servers), and plans to go in for `e-visas' in future. Ankur Bhatia, Managing Director, Amadeus India, said electronic ticketing allows passengers to do away with paper tickets and lightens workload for travel agents. — Our Special Correspondent
