Govt. to host first meet of Youth Employment Summit

HYDERABAD June 13. The first meeting of the Youth Employment Summit Regional Forum - 2003 will be held in Hyderabad from December 14 to 18.

The meeting is being hosted by the State Government in association with the YES Campaign Secretariat and the Education Development Centre, U.S. It is expected to bring together over 600 high-level representatives from Government multilateral and bilateral agencies, civil society, business and youths from 20 ASEAN and SAARC countries. The focus of the meeting would be on rural development, water & sanitation, renewable energy, HIV/AIDS and information and communication technologies.

The national organising committee of the YES Campaign was held here on Friday under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, marking the commencement of work on logistics and operations in the run-up to the regional forum.
