Mr. Ramiah, accompanied by Kiruttinan's son Tolkappaian and daughter Thema and his son, Nedunchezhian, met her at the Secretariat here. After the 10-minute meeting, Mr. Ramiah told presspersons that he thanked the Chief Minister for having provided police protection to Kiruttinan's family members. He presented a petition what was sent to the Government earlier seeking police protection in view of the ``threatening calls'' they received. ``The Chief Minister told me to convey her condolences to my sister-in-law (Kiruttinan's widow)'', he said. Replying in the negative to a question whether he discussed politics with Ms. Jayalalaithaa, Mr. Ramiah, himself a DMK member, did not commit himself on the course of action to be taken by ``Tha. Ki. Peravai'', an outfit floated by Kiruttinan's followers, after his death. ``Whether we merge with some party or remain alone will be decided only after a discussion with the supporters''. Asked whether infighting within the DMK was responsible for Kiruttinan's murder, Mr. Ramiah said ``my brother had no personal enmity with anyone''.
