Case referred to CBI

DEHRA DUN JUNE 19. The Uttaranchal Government has referred the sex scandal case involving the former Revenue, Civil Supplies and Census Minister, Harak Singh Rawat, for investigation to the CBI.

Announcing this in the Vidhan Sabha today, the Chief Minister, N.D. Tiwari, said the CBI probe would reveal the truth.

Mr. Rawat, who resigned yesterday following allegations by a woman that he had fathered her child, said he was prepared for a DNA test.
