Godhra riots: Probe ordered

Ahmedabad June 19. The Gujarat Government has ordered an inquiry into the alleged ``tutored'' deposition of riot victims before the inquiry commission probing the post-Godhra communal violence in the State and the presence of police officials during the proceedings.

``The State Government has taken serious note of newspaper reports (in this regard) and decided to conduct an inquiry by the Secretary, Home Department, Raj Kumar, to ascertain whether any such incident occurred,'' a Home Department statement said.
