Bangalore student bags GE award

BANGALORE June 20. Ravali T.Raju, a 12th standard student of the National Public School, Indiranagar, Bangalore, was presented the GE Star Award on Thursday.

This award is given to meritorious 12th standard students whose parents are employed in GE company. Only four children all over the country have been chosen for the award, of which three are from Bangalore. The award includes a one-time scholarship of $2,500 to the student and $500 to the school where the student is studying.

Ravali is the daughter of T.S.Raju, Chief Manager, HAL, and M.V.Ramani who is with GE (CN group) as an individual contributor. Ravali is interested in taking up a career in chemical engineering and plans to pursue a course at a university in the United States.
