PAN card to cost Rs. 60

Karnal (Haryana) June 22. Income-tax assessees will now have to pay Rs. 60 to get a PAN card from the Income Tax Department which was so far being provided free of cost. The Central Board of Direct taxes (CBDT) has entered into an agreement with the UTI, under which the UTI will prepare the cards, said the Taxation Adviser, Shakti Singh, here today. — UNI
