Munnani deplores CPI (M) stir against Aurobindo Ashram

By Our Staff Reporter

Pondicherry June 22. The Secretary of the Pondicherry State unit of the Hindu Munnani, A. Kannan has said that the CPI (M) in the Union Territory of Pondicherry was trying to damage the reputation of the famous Aurobindo Ashram here by trying to launch agitations against the Ashram.

In a statement here today the Munnani leader said that the communist party had failed to project the shortcomings and discrepancies visible in certain other sectors.

Instead of focussing them the CPI (M) had been targeting the Aurobindo Ashram .

Mr. Kannan said that the Hindu Munnani has come out with a plan to expose the problems faced by the people by the encroachments on the property and land belonging to Hindu temples in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

A meeting is being held tomorrow in Pondicherry to unfold the problems of the Hindu religious institutions.
