Duo held for trying to sell `gold' block

HYDERABAD June 22. Central Zone sleuths of the Commissioner's Task Force on Saturday caught two persons near RTA office in Trimulgherry and seized a brass metal block, which appeared to be gold, from the duo. Hakham Ali (53) and Shabbir Ali (25), both residents of Budha village in Gurgaon of Haryana had been trying to sell a block of brass for Rs. 12 lakhs, saying it was gold and cheating customers. They allegedly claimed that it was part of a treasure, showing some Arabic inscription on it. The duo and the property were handed over to the Trimulgherry police for further action.

`Massage parlour' raided

The West Zone Task Force raided a massage parlour at Sanjeev Reddy Nagar and arrested five persons on charges of running a brothel there. The Task Force team raided `Beauty Queen Massage Centre' located in an apartment and arrested the brothel organiser, Devaraj Nair (31), along with two pimps -- M.C. Suman (23) and A.V. Siva Reddy (28) -- and two sex workers, Beena and Laxmi Bhavani.

Bar incharge held

The West Zone team raided 10 Downing Street bar and arrested two persons for serving liquor to customers beyond permitted time. According to a press release, the incharge of the bar, Rudra Raju (33), and the manager, Raj Kumar (31), were arrested.
