The FRAT president, T. A. John, and the general secretary, Punchakkary G. Raveendran Nair, in a joint statement here today, said the Health department had failed to take adequate steps to prevent deaths due to dengue fever in the State. The FRAT has also urged the Government and the local bodies to take steps on a war-footing basis to kill the mosquitoes, rats and to end the menace created by stray dogs. The federation has also opposed the move of the Government to impose health tax in the State.
