Agarwal appointed Central Bank director

NEW DELHI JUNE 23. R.C. Agarwal has been appointed Director on the Board of the Central Bank of India for a period of three years.

A qualified chartered accountant, Mr. Agarwal has been general secretary of the All-India Central Bank Officers' Federation since 1983 and has been associated with the officers' trade union movement in the bank and the industry for more than two decades. He is also a member of the negotiating committee for wage settlement at the industry level. At present, he is working as Chief Manager in the Information Technology Department in the Central Office of the bank in Mumbai.
