ULFA leader 'alive'

New Delhi June 26. The ULFA `commander-in-chief', Paresh Baruah, is alive and in Dhaka, putting to rest speculations about his fate after a bid on his life in the Bangladesh capital last month.

The ULFA leader was injured in the May 27 shootout. But he survived the attack, highly placed sources here said today. The injury was not serious in nature. There were earlier reports that he was critically wounded and in coma. — UNI
