Lashkar men indicted

Washington June 28. Eleven men who trained with and fought for the terrorist group, the Lashkar-e-Taiba, have been indicted by federal prosecutors on charges of working with terrorists to fight for Muslim causes in foreign nations.

The 42-count indictment, returned by a jury on Wednesday and unsealed yesterday in the U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Virginia, charges the men with being trained by and fighting for the Lashkar-e-Taiba in Kashmir. The group has been named a terrorist organisation by the U.S. Government. — UNI
