Badal's houses raided

Chandigarh June 28. The Vigilance Bureau today raided the former Punjab Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal's ancestral house in Faridkot and another in the city in connection with a disproportionate assets case against him even as the Akali leader termed the action as ``political vendetta''.

A 15-member team led by the Deputy Inspector-General, B.K. Uppal, searched his family house at Sector 9 here this afternoon. Simultaneously, another team raided his ancestral house in Badal village in Faridkot district, a day after the bureau obtained search warrants from a Kharar court. — PTI
