Temple being decked up for Bonalu

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD June 30. Bonalu festivities are just a month away. The ancient Akkanna Madanna Mahankali temple in the Old City thronged by thousands every year for the annual festival is being decked up for the occasion, according to the temple committee president, G. Niranjan, here on Monday.

While the main Bonalu festival and Mahankali Jathara are on July 27 and 28 respectively, the 10-day long festivities will begin on July 17. A special feature this year would be a photo exhibition on Bonalu festivities to be inaugurated on July 24. Photographs of the Bonalu festivities taken during the last five decades would be on display.
