Le Chatelier enters semifinals

MADURAI JULY 3. Le Chatelier Matriculation Higher Secondary School entered the semifinals of the Madurai City inter-school cricket tournament for V.K. Kalyanasundaram memorial trophy, defeating V.K.K. Play Group School by 17 runs at TVS Lakhsmi Matriculation Higher Secondary School ground here on Thursday.

The scores (quarterfinals):

Lechatelier 139 for nine in 20 overs bt V.K.K. Play Group School 122 for eight in 20 overs.

SBOA Matric HSS 128 for three in 20 overs (Manivannan 64) lost to Jeevana MHSS 129 for four in 19.4 overs (Stephen Bharathan 44).

Railway Mixed HSS 122 in 20 overs (Lokesh 32) lost to Vikasa 123 for three in 19.3 overs (Dayanithi 27 not out, Ashwin Pandyan 29).

Mahatma Montessori 129 in 20 overs (Alaudin 42, Sathishkumar 26) lost to TVS LMHSS 130 for six in 20 overs (Vignesh 39 not out).

Earlier results: TVS LMHSS 108 for five in 15 overs (Anand 45, Pari Purnam 33) bt Jain M.H.S.S. 70 for eight in 15 overs.
