Attempt on J&K Minister

Jammu July 4 . The Jammu and Kashmir Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, escaped an attempt on his life in Anantnag district today. One person was killed and 16 were injured. The Minister was attacked in his home constituency, Kokernag. His convoy came under grenade attacks from the militants who started firing indiscriminately. The Minister, who was injured, took shelter in the block office and was escorted to safety.
