The Indian duo lost 1-6, 4-6 in the final to Xiao-Peng Lai and Margin Sayer of Hong Kong. It was a tough outing in the semifinals, as Sumit and Siddharth beat Shahnawaz Ahmad of Bangladesh and Vijay Prashant 5-7, 6-3, 6-2. It was a lot easier in the earlier two rounds, as the Indian pair beat Kyle Joshua Dandan of Philippines and Razian Rawi of Malaysia 6-2, 6-3, and Sho Aida and Takanobu Fujii of Japan 6-3, 6-1 in that order after a bye in the first. There was not much luck for the Indian lads in singles, as Sumit lost 4-6, 4-6 to Peerachat Chaiyapan of Thailand in the pre-quarterfinals after beating Nimman Jeeratanon of Thailand 6-4, 6-4 in the second round. He had a bye in the first round in a draw of 64. Siddharth Gulati too lost in the pre-quarterfinals 6-7 (5-7), 4-6 to Takanobu Fujii after beating Mohammed Mujahid Alias Adib of Malaysia 6-2, 6-2. He also had a bye in the first round. Vijay Prashant lost 6-4, 1-6, 6-7 (7-9) to Kittipong Wachiramanowong of Thailand in the second round after a bye in the first. In doubles, Vijay along with Shahnawaz beat Thikhamporn Jongkhajornwong and Nutthavit Likitkumchorn of Thailand 7-5, 6-2 in the pre-quarterfinals after a bye in the first round. The duo beat Khunpol Issara of Thailand and Yuval Klein of Israel 7-5, 6-1 in the quarterfinals before bowing out to Sumit Prakash and Siddharth in the semifinals. The Indian girls had a decent fare in the doubles. Vandana Murali and Madura Ranganathan lost in the semifinals 2-6, 3-6 to Prim Buaklee and Kamonthip Saovana of Thailand. The pair beat Wing Yan Venise Chan and Anthea Look of Hong Kong 6-1, 6-0 in the first round and went on to record a 6-1, 7-5 triumph over Penporn Chantawannop and Giratiti Naudom of Thailand in the quarterfinals. In singles, both Madura and Vandana lost in the first round, albeit in contrasting styles. Vandana went down 1-6, 7-6 (7-5), 0-6 to Noelle C-Zoleta of Philippines while the top-seeded Madura lost 2-6, 1-6 to Wing Yan Venise Chan of Hong Kong.
