Priest shot at, injured

Alwar July 7. The chief priest of Atta temple here was shot at by his servant, a senior police official said today. The priest, Mahant Ram Das, who was injured in the abdomen, was rushed to Jaipur, the Superintendent of Police, S.P. Khadgawat, said.

The accused, who had been removed from service by Mahant Das on charges of theft, fired from a country-made pistol. A case has been registered against him, Mr. Khadgawat said. — PTI
