Trailing by 90, the home side was 27 for one in its second innings at close. Resuming at 29 for one, India `A' progressed to 91 when Wasim Jaffer was dismissed for 67. The run-outs of Gautam Gambhir and Hemang Badani (17) made the `A' team slip to 113 for four. Then Parthiv, in the company of Amit Mishra, added 69 for the seventh wicket. After Patel's departure at 297, Mishra continued to bat well and ended up with an unbeaten 52. For Yorkshire, T.T. Bresnan, the right-arm medium fast bowler, took three wickets for 88. The scores: Yorkshire CC: 246 and 27 for one vs India `A' 336 for eight decl. (Parthiv Patel 129, Wasim Jaffer 67, Amit Mishra 52 not out, T.T. Bresnan three for 88).
