PM to lay stone for AIIMS branch

BHUBANESWAR JULY 14. The Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, is scheduled to arrive here tomorrow to lay the foundation for the Orissa branch of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

The hospital, which will be called the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose All India Institute of Medical Sciences, is being set up at Sijua, on the city outskirts.

Among others who will attend the function are the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister, Sushma Swaraj, the Orissa Governor, M.M. Rajendran, and the Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to attend another function at the Institute of Life Sciences here in the evening.
