Gowda hails decision on troops for Iraq

BIDAR JULY 16. The former Prime Minister, H.D. Deve Gowda, today welcomed the decision not to send troops to Iraq. He told presspersons here that the Government should stick to its stand and not buckle under pressure even if a similar request came from the recently-constituted 25-member governing council in Iraq.
