Tohra to be SGPC chief

Amritsar July 16. Senior Akali leader, Gurcharan Singh Tohra, will be the new president of the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandhak Committee (SGPC).

This was stated here today by the Shiromani Akali Dal president, Parkash Singh Badal, who also announced that the present president, Kirpal Singh Badungar, would tender his resignation tomorrow.
