No cut in EPF interest rate

Lucknow July 17. Ruling out further decrease in the rate of interest on Employees Provident Fund deposits, the Union Labour Minister, Sahib Singh Verma, said strict measures would be taken against the organisations not depositing the employees' share by next month."We have issued one month notice to about 600 such organisation who have to pay more than Rs. 10 lakhs as their EPF share and if they did not submit their dues by August 1, strict action would be taken against them,'' he said.
